Ruble briefly depreciates to 80 vs dollar, close to all-time lows
MOSCOW, Jan 20 (PRIME) -- The Russian ruble weakened by 1.36 rubles to 79.92 against the U.S. dollar at 12:25 p.m. Moscow time on Wednesday, after testing the level of 80.02 against the dollar, quite close to an all-time low of 80.1 rubles reached on December 16, 2014, as seen by PRIME in the data of the Moscow Exchange.
The ruble depreciated 1.65 rubles to 87.37 against the euro, according to the bourse.
January futures for Brent crude oil decreased 3.15% to U.S. $27.86 per barrel.
